MOL RACING Hi5

Description

MOL Racing Hi5 is an FIA-homologated racing gasoline, developed in 2017 in line with the latest trends in racing fuel technology. It is formulated using the highest quality components with high energy content, with a strong focus on meeting the performance expectations of drivers.

Hi5 was specifically designed for turbocharged engines and optimized for R5-class race cars. These optimizations not only ensure faster torque build-up for R5 vehicles, but also provide noticeable power gains for other turbocharged race cars operating at lower RPMs.

Technical specifications:

  • RON (Research Octane Number): 101.7

  • MON (Motor Octane Number): 88.5

  • Oxygen content: 3.6%

  • Density: 0.782 g/cm³ at 15°C

  • Packaging: 54-liter drum

MOL Racing Hi5 combines cutting-edge formulation with proven performance, making it a powerful choice for teams running turbocharged engines in competitive racing environments.

Rally fuel, or racing fuel, is a type of gasoline that has been specifically formulated to meet the demanding needs of high-performance rally and racing cars.
Here are some reasons why rally fuel is used:

# 1. High Octane Rating: Rally fuels have higher octane ratings compared to standard gasoline. This helps to prevent engine knocking or detonation, which can be damaging to the engine. High-performance rally engines often have high compression ratios and are subject to high temperatures, making the high octane fuel essential.

# 2. Special Additives: These fuels often contain special additives that can enhance performance, provide better lubrication, improve combustion, and protect the engine under the extreme stress of racing conditions.

# 3. Consistent Quality: The quality and composition of rally fuel are strictly controlled and more consistent than standard gasoline. This consistency allows for predictable engine performance, which can be crucial in competitive racing.

# 4. Engineered for Specific Conditions: Rally fuels are often designed for specific racing conditions, such as different weather conditions, altitudes, and engine specifications. This allows for optimal engine performance under varying conditions.

# 5. Increased Power Output: Some racing fuels are oxygenated, meaning they contain compounds that release oxygen during combustion. This can lead to a more efficient burn and higher power output.

However, it’s important to note that while rally fuel provides these advantages in a racing context, it’s generally not suitable for everyday road vehicles.

The use of racing fuel in a non-racing vehicle won’t necessarily enhance its performance and could potentially cause damage. Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for the type of fuel to use in your engine.
