Description

Shell Aviation Lubricants is a line of products developed by Shell, specifically designed to meet the needs of various types of aviation engines, whether they are piston-engines or turbine engines found in both commercial and military aircraft.

Shell Aviation Lubricants includes a range of products:

#1. Turbine Engine Oils: These are used in jet engines and have to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures. They help reduce friction between moving parts, cool the engine parts, and also help seal the engine.

#2. Piston Engine Oils: These are used in smaller, usually propeller-driven aircraft with piston engines. They help to lubricate and cool the engine and prevent rust and corrosion.

#3. Hydraulic Fluids: These fluids help to power the hydraulic systems in an aircraft, which control functions like landing gear and flaps.

#4. Greases: These are used on various parts of the aircraft to reduce friction and wear, particularly on areas like landing gear and control systems.

Shell Aviation Lubricants

These lubricants are engineered to help enhance the performance of aircraft engines and reduce wear and tear. They often contain anti-wear additives, corrosion inhibitors, and other compounds that can help extend engine life and reduce maintenance costs.
