AVGAS 100LL
Description
Avgas 100LL, short for Aviation Gasoline 100 Low Lead, is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in piston engine powered aircraft. Avgas is a highly refined gasoline that provides the high compression ratios and performance demanded by aviation engines.
The number „100” refers to the octane rating of the fuel, which indicates its resistance to knocking or pinging in the engine. The „LL” stands for „Low Lead,” although it is worth noting that Avgas 100LL still contains significantly more lead than automotive gasoline.
Strict guidelines are followed in the production of our premium aviation fuel. It is made to operate in aviation piston engines with spark ignition safely and dependably.
AVGAS 100LL is a blue aviation fuel with a high octane rating that is specifically made for aircraft with spark-ignition piston engines. The fuel’s ability to endure compression without detonating, which is its most crucial quality, is measured by the octane number.
Engines in general aviation are subjected to substantially different pressures than those in ships or automobiles. As a result, they are built to run on high-octane fuels like AVGAS 100LL.
Tetra-ethyl lead (TEL) gives the gasoline known as AVGAS high octane rating. This prevents the fuel from detonating, which could harm the combustion chamber’s structure when employed in engines with higher compression ratios.
Strict requirements
The most recent revisions of the following two important international standards have been met by AVGAS 100LL: Def Stan 91-090, ASTM D910
Continuous quality control
Pro Energy provides AVGAS 100LL, which is fully traceable from the refinery to the aircraft and complies with international norms and regulations. Proenergy Fuels has additionally implemented its own protocols and checkpoints to ensure product quality all the way through the transportation chain.
